Flying to Denver

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is the closest major ariport, located about 1.5-2 hours south of Killeen. AUS offers flights to Denver International Airport (DEN) via multiple carriers.

  • Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) about 2.5-3 hours north; a major hub. 
  • San Antonio International Airport (SAT): approximately 2.5-3 hours south; offers connecting flights to Denver.

  • One-Stop Flights: Typically ranges from 4-6 hours depending on connections and airport choice. 

Ground Transit from DEN to Boulder (45 minutes):

  • RTD SkyRide Bus (AB Route): Direct, affordable transportation between DEN and Boulder.
  • Ride-sharing Services/Taxis: Uber and Lyft operate regularly from the airport.
  • Rental Car: Multiple agencies are available onsite at DEN if you prefer private transportation.

Driving from the Killeen Area to Boulder

Some patients prefer to drive, especially when traveling with a support person or needing flexible timing.

Driving Time: About 16-18 hours of active driving
Common Route: Most patients travel north via US-281 or I-35 though Waco and Dallas, then continue on US-287 through the Panhandle into Colorado, merge onto I-25 N toward Boulder.   

Overnight Stay: Depending on the pace of your travel, an overnight stop can help to ensure you arrive rested and prepared for your appointment.
